CNSI Facility Research Equipment Matching Funds Program

The primary focus of this matching funds program is to facilitate the accumulation of equipment for CNSI's mutli-user facilities that will be available to the UCSB Community.

Award Details

Amount: Up to 50% of the Equipment Purchase and Installation Costs
Applicant Eligibility: CNSI-UCSB Faculty Member

We anticipate providing matching funds up to 50% towards the purchase of equipment for CNSI Multi-User Facilities.

Submission Guidelines

All applications shall consist of:

  1. Project Summary
    The project description may not be longer than one page using Times New Roman 12-point font and must include the following information:
    • Names of CNSI-UCSB Faculty members serving as PIs, Co-PIs and Senior Personnel
    • Project Title
  2. Budget Estimate
    The budget estimate should reflect the following information:
    • Basic sketch of the funds to be requested for the project
    • Quote for the equipment proposed

All applications must be sent by e-mail to: funding@cnsi.ucsb.edu by the above referenced deadline using the subject line: "CNSI Equipment Matching Funds Application".

Selection Notification

Award Recipient(s) will be announced on the CNSI Website no later than 45 days after the submission deadlines. Award Recipients will be required to submit a one-page technical report within 30 days after the completion of the project period of performance.
