Abstract:

Single-photon emitters hosted by 2D materials have proven to be an attractive class of quantum light sources with high brightness and ambient operation. Integrating emitters in 2D hosts with photonic circuits is a central building block for quantum photonics. In this talk, I'll present an update on our progress in integrating single-photon emitters in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) and WSe2 into low-loss, low-emission silicon nitride microresonators. Our on-chip cavity enables spectral coupling efficiencies above ~50% through the Purcell effect, surpassing the theoretical limits of wave-guide-only approaches. Finally, I'll discuss the performance projection of our devices and the roadmap towards on-chip indistinguishable single photon emitters with integrated 2D platforms.
