CNSI Incubator company Nereid Biomaterials named Startup of the Month by Comstock's Magazine.

A group comprising faculty, present and former graduate students, staff, and interested visitors gathered in the Marine Science Auditorium in June to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) Technology Incubator.

In 2015, the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI) at UC Santa Barbara established the Technology Incubator in Elings Hall to support startup companies stemming from technologies developed on campus. Now in its 10th anniversary year, the incubator has become “a humming innovation ecosystem".

“Future Makers” supported by an Uplift Central Coast Catalyst Predevelopment Grant, will support workshops for Santa Barbara and Ventura County students in hands-on learning at CNSI's Innovation Workshop. 

Laboratory Glove Recycling Initiative has diverted over 4,000 lbs of single-use plastic from the waste stream.
