Analytical Core
The BNL Analytical core houses a variety of analytical instruments such as the Tecan plate reader and Malvern Zetasizer.
Trained users will have keycard access to the lab and will be able to book and use the analytical instruments listed below.
For ease of management, molecular biology instruments located in the BNL are also part of the Analytical core.
How-to Information
- Steps to Access the BNL

- Initiate an Access Request (see inset).
- Contact BNL staff to get trained on the instrument.
- Provide additional billing/access forms (to be requested from academic/industry users external to UCSB).
- Apply to CNSI for electronic door access to the facility.
- BNL Staff will add you to the FBS reservation system.
