Susanne Stemmer

Research

Our lab focuses on quantum materials, in particular, high-quality thin films and heterostructures, which we grow by molecular beam epitaxy. Currently, we are focusing on functional and correlated oxides and topological materials. We are interested in a wide range of transport phenomena, the manipulation of unique electronic and topological states using heterostructure engineering, and novel electronic device applications. We also have a research program in advancing quantitative scanning transmission electron microscopy techniques.
